Manalapan
Animal Clinic & Hospital
About
Us
|
The Manalapan Animal Hospital was established
in 1980 on the premise that local pet owners did not have to travel
to New York or to Philadelphia to receive quality referral veterinary
care. Today we still strive to achieve the highest level of veterinary
care with a strict emphasis on the unique human to animal bond that
exists with every patient.
Until 1980 almost all veterinary hospitals in Monmouth
county were using human medical laboratories for testing. Upon establishing
the Manalapan Animal Hospital Dr. Farber secured the services of the
largest veterinary laboratory in New York to pick up specimens daily
and to report results within 24 hours. This raised the standards of
care for all veterinary hospitals in the region. Currently the hospital
has the facilities to perform in house hematology, chemistries, cytology
and select immune blood testing. The hospital also provides a state
of the art surgical suite. It includes sophisticated monitors such
as oxymetry, blood pressure, respiratory and electrocardiograph to
ensure the safety of all anesthetized patients. Every animal is continuously
monitored by a trained technician who repeatedly check vital signs
throughout the procedures. Dental prophylactics and surgeries are
performed on a daily basis.
The veterinary imaging equipment includes an in
house radiographic unit with automatic processor for diagnostic quality
radiographs. We also provide telemetric electrocardiograms with 1
hour consultations from board certified veterinary cardiologists.
The hospital has ultrasonic and endoscopic capabilities with visiting
imaging consultants that provide expert analysis.
The hospital provides its medical cases with a clean,
safe boarding facility. Chronic medical problems are treated by doctors
and animals are monitored continuously during their stay. Additional
emphasis is placed on preventative medicine and nutrition. The hospital's
owner has a special interest in herbal, nutritional healing and he
has incorporated this into traditional practice. Exotic animals are
welcome and are treated with cutting edge knowledge as the staff dedicates
many hours to further their understanding of the diverse and interesting
species that exist.
We are very proud of our hospital and we are forever
looking for ways to improve our service and expertise. In 1997 the
American Animal Hospital Association accredited the hospital with
a four year certification. This is the highest accreditation that
any hospital may receive. Less than 1% of all private hospitals within
the US have received this honor.
In future years the Manalapan Animal Hospital will
continue to provide professional, compassionate, comprehensive veterinary
care for our community in an affordable manner. |
